A framework for rich internet applications

iTunes + Flickr Mashup

This is a very quick demo on how Web2OS allows you to combine local desktop data with web api calls. The example follows the Adobe Apollo mp3 demo, and is similar to what Snapp Radio does with last.fm.

As tracks are playing on your local copy of iTunes, your browser shows relevant photos held on Flickr. All the appliction does is use the iTunes api to get the current track playing, and then use the Flickr api to get a tream of photos which match the playing artist and track. The photos are displayed and rotated every 5 seconds or so in your browser:
